ENVELOP

Canberra Commission

ENVELOP was commissioned for the entrance of a newly completed private residence in Canberra, conceived as a sculptural counterpoint to the crisp linear architecture of the home.

Developed in dialogue with the client, the intention was to introduce something more fluid and organic — a form that softened the geometry of the building while remaining architecturally resolved within its setting.

The process moved from hand sketches and digital visualisation through to a physical scale model, allowing proportion, orientation, and presence to be considered before fabrication began. The images below trace that journey, from initial concept through material selection, carving, transport planning, and final installation.
